Your Child’s First Dental Appointment
Your child may be reaching their milestone of a first dental appointment, or you may be continuing care for an older child. Either way, our goal is to help kids feel comfortable, build healthy habits, and leave with plenty of reasons to smile.
At our general dentist office for kids, we keep visits friendly, positive, and focused on what your child needs at their particular age and stage.

Thinking about braces or Invisalign®? Your first orthodontic consultation at Yellow Monkey Dental & Orthodontics is completely complimentary. It’s your chance to meet the team, learn what’s happening with your smile, and find out what treatment options may be a good fit.
Here’s what to expect at this first appointment:

Helpful Tips for Your First Appointment
There are certain ways you can prepare yourself or your child for the first appointment. Bring any insurance cards, relevant medical records, past scans or X-rays, and a photo ID (for adults/parents) to your first appointment. Be sure to keep an eye out for our text message with links to your new patient forms.
We also recommend arriving a few minutes early so there’s plenty of time for paperwork, questions, and getting settled in. For kids who are a little nervous, keeping things upbeat beforehand can help too. You can simply let them know they’re going to meet some friendly people who will count their teeth and help keep their smile healthy.
